Two male tiger cubs found dead in Ranthambhore

Ranthambhore | Tuesday, 17 April, 2018, the two tiger cubs were found dead in Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary in Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve, with forest officials suspecting that they were killed by another adult male tiger.

Postmortem of the tigers will be conducted today to find the exact cause of the death due to the late night.

The both dead cubs aged nearly one and half years old and residing with their mother tigress, T-79 at Aavand –Ki-Khad area of Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary beyond the tourism area that is closed to zone no.9 and 10.

They were found dead on the eve of Tuesday, April 17 by the forest guards during the patrolling.

Apparently, they died due to the deep internal and neck injuries by an intruder adult tiger. The name of the intruder, tiger is still not known!

Forest department officials said the carcasses of both cubs have been kept at Kundal Naka near Rajbagh Choki of RTR.

From September 2017, we have lost the tigers in the following way in Rajasthan state!

On September 20, 2017, the adult and mature tiger, Hamir aka T-33 died in the territorial fight with the adult tiger, T-66 in Khandar Range.

One male tiger, St-11 from Sariska National Park, got strangulated in a barbed wire fence laid out by a poacher. The big cat was found dead in an agriculture field in March, 2018.

On March 20, 2018, the star tiger of Ranthambhore, Star Male aka T-28 was died after rescued operation.

On April 17, 2018, two male cubs died in Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary.

The two cubs of tigress, Arrow-Head aka T-84 have also been missing.
