    The 254th foundation day on 19th January, 2017 was celebrated at Indra ground. It is the second edition of the new era in the celebrations that took off last year. Collector, Sawai Madhopur in collaboration with Gunijankhana: Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh Jaipur Museum Society headed by Princess Diya Kumari, MLA, Sawai Madhopur, a descendant of Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I, has decided to take the celebrations on to the world tourism map.   • Machhali- A Great Wild Life Celebrity From Ranthambhore

    The Tigress - Machhali is one of the most world famous tigresses of Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. Her tiger code is T-16. She is an iconic figure of Ranthambhore. Great-Machhali is also known with different titles such as "Queen Mother" of tigers, Tigress Queen of Ranthambore, Lady of the Lakes and Crocodile Killer. This highly renowned tigress was first noticed during monsoons in 1997, probably in July. She had given birth to eleven tiger cubs, including seven females and four males in her life span. The progeny of Machali increased the tiger population in the park and made about 60% of tigers of her lineage.

  • Ranthambhore Tiger

    Bengal tigers live in India. They are also known as Indian tigers. They are the most common tiger and number about half of all wild tigers. Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, which at present is home to around 60 tigers, was declared as Sawai Madhopur Wildlife sanctuary in 1955 and in 1973 it gained the protection of `Project Tiger`. It got the status of National Park in 1980.


    ICONIC FAMILY- The most sighted and popular TIGERS in Ranthambhore, probably in the world. That Iconic family included – T-19 or Krishna and her second litter that includes two female cubs and one male. Today, the queen of Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve- KRISHNA is also known as an ICON of tiger reserve. Since 23 March, 2014, she has been exploring the sighting by her self and her cubs.
